Dal Lago Spa: A Story Born in the Post-War Era from a Carpenter's Intuition.

1947

1947

The history of DAL LAGO SPA has its roots in a charming village in the renowned province of Vicenza, where Ettore Dal Lago, a carpenter, passed on his passion for wood to his son Serafino.

The year 1947 marks the beginning of this epic journey, in an era still marked by the aftermath of the war.

Serafino Dal Lago, a visionary and enterprising man, decided to open a small business in Thiene, initially trading the first plywood panels, and later faesite, and so on.

1955

1955

Already in 1955, a new warehouse was built outside the city, marking the beginning of a phase of growing business and an era of prosperity and continuous innovation in the products handled. The quality of the products, the commitment to fulfilling promises, combined with a constant and increasing availability of goods, led to a steady expansion of space and the range of products managed.

1977

1977

In 1977, with the premature passing of Serafino, his sons Ettore and Lorenzo stepped in. Despite their youth, they understood that it was time to organize client visits and deliveries of the ever-expanding range of products using their own means.

This wise understanding of the market at the time led to the construction of the first large warehouse in 1985, situated in an area well-served by major roads. The spaces were then doubled with another structure adjacent to the original, driven by the introduction of raw lumber imported from around the world. This expansion opened new opportunities and horizons for broadening their scope of operations.

2000

2000

Starting in 2000, the first exports of our high-quality semi-finished products began.

2014

2014

The constant search for ever higher-quality products led to the purchase of a new warehouse in the Industrial Zone in 2014 (later doubled in 2023).

Here, large quantities of fine wood are slowly left to season before being prepared for sale with drying in modern facilities built in 2016.

In 2010, with the arrival of Andrea Dal Lago (the fourth generation in the wood business), the company received new momentum to continue its expansion phase. With the doubling of available space in the following years, drying kilns were constructed, and a modern and versatile trimming plant was installed. This allows us to handle all types of processing (with fixed sections and dimensions) upon request.

Oggi

Oggi

Today, we are strongly focused on the commercialization of a few species, in which we offer a wide range of sections and qualities.

European Oak, alongside European Larch, Ash, and Spruce, are the species that are bringing us great satisfaction and recognition both nationally and across Europe.

All of this is driven by an innate passion for wood, combined with decades of accumulated experience and commitment, leading to more than satisfactory results. This success is also due to our inherent correctness, precision, and punctuality.
